zeplin43 Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Very little inf on these, seems to me that they must have some quality.Just out of curiosity how do we know when to change them. For those who have made this change how many miles did yours last. Quote
zeplin43 Posted January 7, 2007 Author Report Posted January 7, 2007 BumpNo one ever changed shock absorbers Quote
Guest Cepheus Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 not on the Gal old bean. Only time I've ever done it was on an 84 Celica XT. That had done about 85,000 miles but don't know if they'd already been changed previously. Your shocks are ok if when you push down on the bonet, the car should bounce up and then settle back to normal position. If it bounces around more than this then they need replacing. Also if when you brake the car lurches forwards with the nose sinking and the back end lifting, then they need replacing. Quote
